BIOGRAPHY:
DANIEL GROSSMAN

I am a graduating senior at The Wakefield School in The Plains, Virginia, Class of Covid-19 (2020).  My 9th-grade Biology class required a project that explored the intersection of subjects, and I chose to research how disease has played a large, and often unexplored, role in shaping the course of events. This project led me to rethink how I thought about history, and it motivated me to undertake a more thorough analysis as part of my Wakefield School Senior Thesis.  

I chose my senior thesis topic (Human History & Disease) in the fall of 2019, with no clue that Covid-19 would upend all of our lives so dramatically. As I researched my topic, my work has felt very relevant.

I look forward to attending Elon University in the fall, Covid-19 permitting.
